Just installed LMDE MATE and totally happy with it.
As for now, most of my installed software is mate-*: mate-text-editor, mate-terminal, mate-file-manager (Caja), etc. And there's no disc burner. Quick googling provided me with a link to GitHub repo with Rejilla, a fork of Brasero.
Just curious, why LMDE provides MATE desktop environment but doesn't provide a full set of MATE applications?
P.S.
I'm using Xfburn for now, but it depends on packages from XFCE and this fact bothers me.
Why there's no mate-disc-burner?

welcome to lmde nice to hear you are enjoying it
as for your question: you can see from the page linked https://github.com/NiceandGently/rejill ... its/master that the initial commit has 15 days (it's a new project); we can expect that with mate 1.6 this project (and others probably) will be merged to the main repo.
your choice of xfburn is a wise one it's in many ways more reliable than brasero and at least doesn't want to pull in all the rest of the DE (in brasero's case gnome) with it.

Oh, I see... Didn't notice that this repo is so young.
Thanks for your reply, I'll be waiting for this package to come to LMDE.
