"reconnect" HP-7300 o-jet to Mint-12 CUPS

I was printing away and happily making progress on my project. BOING! My HP-7300 complained that it wanted more ink. Now that I've fed the beast, I cannot get Mint-12 CUPS to start spooling again.

I've tried:
  • restart workstation CUPs -- no joy.
  • power off everything and restart -- no joy.
  • boot workstation then printer -- no joy.
  • boot printer then workstation -- no joy.
I'm not seeing any explanations in the CUPS logs either, but then I'm not sure what I should be looking for.

Sadly, the same workstation prints well using win-dose from a dual boot.
