laptop battery applet

Yesterday I read on one of the forum entries that this issue was solved but unfortunately I could not find again the forum entry again (or the bug list).

I installed Linux mint 14 cinnamon on two laptops (dell and HP) and the laptop battery applet does not update when battery charging or discharging it just get stuck on the first value it found when starting the machine. I verified with the changes glem make to the code on the other forum entry for solving this problem in Linux mint 13 and all that changes are there on both machines. Both machines are up to date with updates.

What could I change to make it work.
