You can use Grub Customizer.
To change defauly option you need edit grub files (in /boot/grub/grub.cfg; /etc/default/grub), it is little hard, but Daniel Ritcher make the hard work and release Grub-Customizer , the easy way to customize grub.
To install it:
- Code: Select all
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:danielrichter2007/grub-customizer
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install grub-customizer
Open grub customizer, look at the first tab (entries) you will be all the OS installed, Linuxmint, recovery, memtest, windows,
If you want you can delete recovery, memtest entries keeping only LM and windows entries.
Open second tab, there you will can change default option.
Explore the othwers tabs; you can put a backgropund on window boot, etc
Save.
Close.
Reboot.
Done.
