Hi folks, first post, been dabbling with Ubuntu and Studio for a few years but this one has stopped me in me tracks; installed Mint 14.1 using Wubi in dual boot with Win 7. Installed perfectly in 60gb partition on Sony Vaio lappy. Firstly, it has to be said, stunning! blazingly fast, best linux distro i have tried to date. Now for the downer, I seem to be stuck in live mode, if i make any changes/update or install sw, its all back as it was after a reboot. Also I used the username and password section in Wubi but am told both are not recognised by Mint if i try to log out of Live Session User. Have done a couple of hours groping round t'interweb to no avail, any suggestions? I am familiar with terminal but a coding noob, so treat me gently
ta folks, jack.

Hello, freemanjack.
Please, have a look at this pretty recent thread: User settings being reset every reboot [SOLVED]. It should help you get around your little Wubi/Mint4win problem.
Kind regards,
Karl
