[Solved] Amarok 2.7 Installation Query

Hi,

I would like to install Amarok 2.7 which is the lastest version with some promising features.
I followed the instrcutions available here.
Result:

0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 12 not upgraded.

The latest versions is not picked up. Is it becuase another PPA is given a higher priority which contains lower version. I tried unchecking all PPA's except ppa:kubuntu-ppa/backports in mint update manager but still the new version is not getting picked up.
Another generic question, how do I force a particular version to be installed for an application?

i see
you are using mint 13 (based on ubuntu precise) amarok 2.7 is only available for ubuntu quantal (mint 14)
https://launchpad.net/~kubuntu-ppa/+arc ... ld/4230462 i have no idea if it will be backported to mint 13/ubuntu precise (it is not at the moment)

Thanks zerozero, for the clarification. One more reason to upgrade to LM 14 soon.
