the screen is stretched

Hi!

Just installed mint and have problem with the screen. The image apears some stretched so the proportions of the objects are distorsioned. The screen is 16:9 but xrandr doesnt show this ratio as possible. In Debian it worked well so maybe the video driver isnt recognised. The data of video card is this:

Card: Intel Mobile 4 Series Chipset Integrated Graphics Controller
X.Org: 1.11.3 driver: vesa Resolution: 1024x768@61.0hz
GLX Renderer: Gallium 0.4 on llvmpipe (LLVM 0x300) GLX Version: 2.1 M

Would be grateful for any help.

never mind finally installed mint 9 it appears to go well
