Bluetooth keyboard shift key does not work

I just completely ditched windows for LM14, no dual boot, formatted my drive and installed mint. Everything is going great except one thing, the shift key on my MS bluetooth keyboard doesn't work. It doesn't do caps, it doesn't do symbols, it just seems to be dead. I tried disconnecting, reconnecting and searching for an updated driver but neither got me anywhere. Any help on this would be appreciated.

I tried LM 13 , mate, cinnamon, xfce and kde.

ONLY in KDE bluetooth works fine; the other have problems to connect with PC (Situation accepted by LM developers).

Thanks for the reply jungle_boy. I'll use the USB keyboard until the BT issue is worked out.
