Hello, I have a weird problem. Since yesterday my battery only charges up to 43%.
I own a "IBM ThinkPad Edge e530" Notebook with Linux Mint 14 Cinnamon on it. Until yesterday everything was fine and nothing worth noticing happened, but charging only goes up to 43%. Discharging is also significantly faster. It's like there's a kind of a block preventing it from charging further than 43%.
I'm kind of a newbie to Linux and I don't know which tools to use and whether I have them or not.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks.
Battery doesn't fully charge.

Re: Battery doesn't fully charge.
I just ran L. Mint 14 from LiveDVD and it still won't charge more than 43%. Does this mean that it is a hardware problem?
I can't imagine what could suddenly happen to the battery...

Is your battery about 2 years old maybe?
If so - that could be the problem - they don't live long after that.
