Random Wireless Disconnections

Post by Naslb »

Good day,

I'm using Mint 14 cinnamon on a HP DV6 laptop and I noticed that at random intervals the Wifi will drop and refuse to connect again, the wifi adapter goes off and trying to turn it back on results in the screen flickering and nothing happening, logging out and back in doesn't fix it, only restarting.

Any ideas how I would troubleshoot this?

Thanks

Try moving away from it some. Your RSSI is extraordinary. You may be overdriving the link...

Thanks for the suggestion! It seems quite odd, sometimes it goes for days without disconnecting and sometimes it disconnects multiple times in an hour (all other devices connected to the network still work. I live in a studio so the other end of the room is as far as I can go. my phone and other internet-enabled devices never seem to have a problem?
