Frustrating Printing Issues

Post by Encerspay »

Alrighty. So I'm running Linux Mint 13 MATE 64 bit on an HP G60-635DX laptop.

I have an Epson Stylus Printer, and it works fine on Windows 7. But when I print via Linux Mint (usually LibreOffice Writer, but also websites),
it comes out with the colors all funky.
A picture of a printed document will soon be provided.
Pllllllllllleasse help.
Thanks!

The printer is an EPSON Stylus NX200 printer and I'm not sure as to what drivers I have. I'm looking into that now, though.

Epson NX200 ........Epson drivers

Post by pdc_2 »

so this device is both scanner and printer;

http://download.ebz.epson.net/dsc/searc ... ch/?OSC=LX

thumbnail shows what one gets when one enters NX200 in the Epson site

printer driver is the ESC/P-R Driver (generic driver)

as you are running 64bit, you need the epson-inkjet-printer-escpr_1.2.2-1lsb3.2_amd64.deb and as you click to download, gdebi installer should offer to install: let it;

for the scanner; from the above, you need to

1) install the DATA package first: iscan-data_1.21.0-1_all.deb ......it's at the BOTTOM of the list ..............

2) then install the CORE package: iscan_2.29.1-5~usb0.1.ltdl7_amd64.deb

note the ltd7 detail: ltd7 is for newer kernels; like yours

that should get you up and running: let us know how it goes
