Skype: How to autodetect mic on Linux Mint 13 Mate??????????
I have installed Linux Mint 13 Mate 32bit and I'm having trouble with my USB microphone in skype. Sound keeps going off and so have to reconfigure the sound settings everytime I want to use it.BTW the USB cam is flickering too Please respond I have installed it for a client and he keeps coming back and putting pressure on me to fix it. I've exhausted my resources but to no avail. How to autodetect mic on Linux Mint 13 Mate??? Plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz respond I keep posting but no one is responding

You will normally get a response from this forum if you provide a clear description of the problem, good description of the HW & SW used and keep the emoticons to a minimum.

The problem is that Skype doesn't detect my USB microphone automatically. I have to configure it manually from the sound settings everytime I have to use it. This problem is particular to my old NEC desktop. I'm using the same OS (Linux Mint 13 Mate 32bit) on another old desktop with no problems.Lanser wrote:Brahim.
