I have installed Mint 14 with xfce 4.1 I believe. I'm having trouble finding a way of editing my main menu, as in removing unwanted programs from the list, not confident enough yet to physically uninstall anything as I don't know what to look for with regards to dependencies etc. Anyway, I've installed alacarte (or whatever it calls itself now) and although the gui works, I can check or uncheck programs in the list it doesn't actually have any effect on the menu itself. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

The launcher is VERY easily edited (which makes you wonder why you can't do it for the main menu - and why Ubuntu can? ) Anyway you just right click, select properties and you have a full gui interface to add and subtract programs with ease. I kind of use it as a 'Favourites' menu which the main menu doesn't have and that is all I use on 90% of occasions. It works well for me.
