Change Key

Post by borgward »

Is there a program that will change music play back to another key, for example a song is in G and needs to be played back in the key of D.

I have "Play it slowly" installed. Pretty handy. You can slow a song down, but it stays in the same pitch. You can also change the pitch while at the same speed, or faster or slower. I know I can get to some other keys by changing the pitch, but am looking for a program that is designed to change to any key.

I know there is a program for windows or mac that does that. I know I could probably poke around in Audacity to do it as well, but need a simple program that just changes key for playback.

Not looking for program that changes music notation. I am looking for a program that can take a music file and change the play back from one key to another. e.g. I ahve a song in the key of G. I want to hear it in the key of D.

There are plugins in Audacity that can shift the pitch.
