Post by adity »

My computer used to boot with zero backlight but i found a solution which is to put sudo setpci -s 00:02.0 F4.B=00 in rc.local.
But the problem is Everytime i suspend or lock my pc, the zero backlight problem comes again and I have type the command again which is a pain in the a**
Is there a permanent solution or workaround to it

Try "laptop-mode-tools" available in Software Manager. This program can be configured to resolve most power management problems.

Info for configuring is here: http://samwel.tk/laptop_mode/
