When I open Chromium-Browser in Mint 14 xfce or cinnamon there is no tab at the top of the window.Just a solid address bar with nowhere to mouse click for a new tab. When I do cntrl>t it opens a new tab and then I have two tabs above the address bar. This seemed to happen after an update. Just want to see if anyone else is experiencing this? Ive used chromium and or chrome for years and have never seen this. I have two other computers running chromium on different distros and no prob there. I even did a fresh install of Mint on this machine and the problem is still there. Before installing from live USB I went ahead and installed Chromium browser on the live USB and no prob. It wasn't until after I re install and update. [img][/img]

Re: No tabs on single window in Chromium?
That's how Chromium looks.

CTRL+Shift+b gives you a bookmarks bar.
If you mean window title bar then you can set that in Settings > Appearance > Use system title bar and borders (uncheck/check)

Re: No tabs on single window in Chromium?
I have the same problem.
I have no tabs on the top bar if there is just one tab open, i have to right click the solid bar to select new tab or use the keyboard shortcut
If i have more than one tab i do get the top bar

Re: No tabs on single window in Chromium?
Indeed that's the bug, unfortunately it fixes the tab problem but when you open the settings page it's blank. So i'm just sticking with the annoying bug lesser of two evils. Thank you for replaying and sorry to OP for jumping into your post.
Re: No tabs on single window in Chromium?
I encountered the same issue with Chromium. I'm using Chrome instead now. It's basically the same as Chromium, with a more colorful icon and WITHOUT that issue, so in a way it counts as a solution Just download the .deb package and install it with .
Also, norcal618, what font is that? It looks awesome.
Code: Select all
dpkg -i

Re: No tabs on single window in Chromium?
Encountering the same problem, it's quite annoying. I submitted the bug to chromium; If all of us report this, we may get the developers attention (To report: open chromium and go to "customize and control"->Tools->Report an issue).

Re: No tabs on single window in Chromium?
I used chrome for a while and it is basically the same but it seems a bit slower to me and I prefer chromium. Ive now switched over to ubuntu as my daily driver and chromium does not have this problem on ubuntu...weird. If anyone finds a solution or if the problem is solved please let me know...I like mint better than ubuntu and will go back as soon as this problem is fixed...thanks!
