I think it will be convenient to insert hyperlink to the linux mint main page.
For example the logo in the top left corner could be the path to the official website, because "Board index" does the same job.

I agree with your idea, though not your solution. I will tell you why. I have been a user of this forum for many years, and, until you just told me, I had no idea that the LM logo was a link of any sort, so I think it would have to be more obvious than that to cater for dummies like me 
But yes, a link from the forum page direct to linuxmint.com is a useful idea
