sound disappeared

Hi , after fiddling with bad oss install the sound disappeared , before i mint used the onboard card however i would love to use my maudio 2496 ... i am no pro (yet) however i was immediatley sold to mint ! so i am willing to learn :)

Run alsamixer and see if it isn't a volume issue... It's one of the quirks you learn to deal with.
