Im quite suprised at how nice its become since initial release, I mean sure its no gnome2, but its kinda grown on me to the point where i use it above Cinnamon. With a few extensions i have it setup nicely working exactly how i would want my linux desktop to look. I find Cinnamon a bit limited in options and aplets.
My biggest problem was getting a working windows list to display in gnome3, but once i managed to get that working its been a pleasure using it. Also my biggest worry is will the guys maintain their extensions in future versions ...
And im talking about the default Gnome3, not the cinnamon or fedora edition.

I agree with you, so I gave up cinnamon.
I like Gome3 too, but it is heavy for my netbook (signature)

That's certainly not my experience. Cinnamon doesn't yet have quite as many addons as gnome-shell has, but you have to consider everything that's built into Cinnamon. E.g. the most popular GS extension is one that removes the Universal Access panel button - in Cinnamon that's built-in, you can remove the applet with the settings tool. So is media player integration, loading user themes, removable drive menu etc. etc. And if you compare the options given in Cinnamon Settings to those given to you in gnome-tweak-tool, I'm baffled you have arrived at the conclusion the latter gives you more options. In Cinnamon you can add all four hot corners and assign any action to them, you can choose from one of 4 different alt-tab options, you can resize panels and easily choose bottom, top or dual panel setup etc. The windows list extension is very limited compared to the windows list applet in Cinnamon. More options in Gnome Shell? What I like about Gnome Shell is that it is more refined than Cinnamon, more coherent, and has the unified overview - but it certainly doesn't have more options.

I suggest you watch the video clip and see how customisable it is since anitial release id say its come a long way, and with option its superior to cinnamon at this stage. vid clip link : http://youtu.be/PG567W2OMQk ( set quality to HD in fullscreen )
