X-Plane 10 installaton on Mint Cin 14

Postby qhris on Sun Jan 27, 2013 9:56 pm

Hi all, has anyone tried to install xplane 10 on mint 14? I had it on mint 13 and it worked fine. I haven't come across any threads on this topic both here and at the xplane site. I have tried the suggestions for older systems but they have had no positive effect. The installer (downloaded from xplane) will not even start at this time. I started with a Radeon hd 7870 with latest drivers installed. I thought that might have been an issue so I swapped cards back to the GTX260 which is what I was using in mint 13. I haven't had any problems installing/uninstalling drivers, everything is go in that regards thanks to the help on the forums here. (lessons learned from the past :).
Any advice or tips would be much appreaciated.
Chris

Hello, still on my quest here.
Does anyone know if the launch.hta file is the actual program launcher for xplane. When I try to launch it, it tells me in a text file that my system is not recognizing the hta file. How would I check to see if that is true, and how would I be able to correct that?
Thanks,
Chris

I am having the same problem, but I'm trying to run the demo. When I click on the installer, nothing happens! This is frustrating because I really want to run x plane 10 on mint.
