Hello, I'm new to linux, installed Nadia Cinnanmon 64x a few days ago and played around with it since. I got immensely tired of windows and all its shit rootkits and random features breaking. So as a gamer I have been trying to get League of Legends to work (done) and steam with its games (think I'm done with this too).
The problem I have encountered is that when i lower the sound below 24%, meaning 0-23% is entirely muted. This would be a non issue unless I owned a corsair headset that uses software to lower or increase volume (which is wonderfully compatible with linux), doing 6% volume each click on the sound controller. Also since I'm a bit of a neat freak with my computer, its annoying it doesn't work... Is this a common issue?
I use an Asrock z77 pro4 motherboard. The same problem appears in my other speakers as well, they are using the 3,5mm analog output while the headset is USB.
Another issue i have is that i cant make @ signs, but thats for another post.
Thanks in advance for any answers.

Re: 23% volume and lower => muted
I have this same problem or even worse. I think my 33% volume is already muted and somewhere near 66% it's as loud as it gets - so the volume slider has somehow narrowed range. I had this exactly same problem in Ubuntu 12. I thought it was a bug but since not everybody is complaining about this I guess not everyone's volume slider have this kind of behavior?
