<SOLVED>Asus Aspire Wireless

Post by PolarBearInTheJungle »

Just installed Mint 14 on a three-year old Asus Aspire One. The computer cannot find its wireless card. I've seen some pretty complicated threads on these sorts of issues, can somebody walk me through what to do here?

I suppose you mean Acer Aspire One instead of Asus?

Please open Terminal from the menu, run these commands and post the output here:

Code: Select all

inxi -N
rfkill list

Ok, that is Broadcom BCM4312 wireless. Please connect to wired internet and install firmware-b43-lpphy-installer from Software Manager. Then the wireless should start working.
