Hello there

Post by Edd443 »

I'm a complete noob at linux, but I'm fascinated for how fast and reliable it is, so I want to learn to use it easily.
I've already posted some entries in this forum but I don't know why no one has repied yet. Maybe I'm doing someting wrong...
I like reading tutorials, so a good way to help me is sharing easy to follow articles and links with me.
I always try to be respectful when I post. If something looks offensive it's probably due to my limited command of English.
I hope I'll learn using these forums.
cheers

Welcome and yes can't take an hour or a day or two or not at all.
Depending on issue and those reading can answer your questions.
After a day I usually post a "bump" in my thread to refresh to top of new posts.

Also since Mint is based on Ubuntu. Be sure to join their forums also for places to get and find help.

Hang in there as will take a bit of time & patience to get the most out of Linux.

Welcome to Linux Mint :D I've already made a reply to one of your topics, as has another member. We've been wondering what progress you have made :) You can find your own posts, if you lost the link, by clicking on "View your posts" at the top. Highlighted in red are the topics that have new replies, that you haven't read yet. If you want, at the bottom of the page you can also subscribe to or bookmark a topic. (Subscribe informs you through email of replies; bookmark lets you find the topic easily again through the user control panel > manage bookmarks page).

A "bump"? do you mean making a comment on one's post? if not, how do you make a "bump" in order to refresh to new posts? I need to know because I asked this and NO-ONE has replied yet:
