Hello. I'm a new user of Mint and only used Ubunutu 12.10 for a couple of months.
I had alot of trouble adding sound to ubuntu but I did it, searching lot's of forum and tutorials and I was certain that was by adding to /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf these two lines:
alias snd-card-0 snd-hda-intel
options snd-hda-intel model=generic
When I installed Mint I changed that file and I don't get any sound. In Ubuntu before changing that file I tried lots of stuff and I don't remember all, it must have been something else.
I still have the files from ubuntu on a disk (not bootable), can somebody tell me wich files should I look to get sound again?
I have integrated audio - Realtek ALC888.
