Pretty consistently the mouse and keyboard are dead when the system finishes booting up. The keyboard works when GRUB is running but when bootup finishes, for varying lengths of time, both the keyboad and the mouse are dead to the world. After a while one, and then the other, comes to life.
The problem seems to have started occurring when I upgraded to Mint 14 (Cinnamon, 64-bit) and if the either or both the mouse and keyboard are on a motherboard USB port they're just fine. But if they're plugged into a hub, not so good.
I've tried different hubs, powered and unpowered and been researching it on and off for a while. Nothing I've seen so far has helped at all.

From? a older version? Clean install?I upgraded to Mint 14 (Cinnamon, 64-bit)
As always found upgrading to be problematic from lesser versions.
