Default program (foxit PDF) icon when using Wine

I am using the win version of Foxit Reader and run it through Wine. The program works great but I can't stand the default icon for PDF's because it looks like the Adobe icon. I have searched long and far and have saved a dozen icons for where I thought the default icon was being linked to, but the stock icon still appears. Anyone know of a solution for changing the default icon if the default program is launching through Wine?

I have seen this behavior not only with wine but with other links as well. Try completely recreating the app launcher. Note the settings though before you blow away the icon.

I ripped the icon I wanted from the windows executable using the prorgam 'gextractwinicons' from the software center.
