Best VOIP Skype Adapter for Ubuntu?

Well with an RJ11 I don't know but if you plan to have the computer running (there are "self sustained" skype telephones) why not use a USB headset?

I have run into the same issues as this other fellow. A Skype adapter makes Skype a use able phone for the entire household. Just pick up a phone - dial and hit pound. This would not work if my wife was tied to a computer. How would she talk all day long and fold my underwear? She does not even know she is using the computer. Anyway for some cheap guy like me, Skype works awesome for around $60 a year vs. $600 for most other phones that include long distance in the US. Linux just does not offer a solution to the use of USB adapters for Skype or any other service. Therefore Mint is off and XP is on my dual booted system. I wish there was some way to convince a programmer how useful and important a USB adapter could be. I am sure he/she could be well paid for such a breakthrough.
