Program Icons [SOLVED]
How do I add a program to the panel bar along the bottom of the Cinnamon screen? For example, i want to be able to have Filezilla on that bar so I can simply click on an icon and have Filezilla start. Is there a specified directory for such programs?

Re: Program Icons
Hi,
Is Filezilla already listed somewhere in your menu?
If so, right-click it, click "Add to panel".

Re: Program Icons
No, Filezilla is somewhere on the system, but for now I am starting it from terminal. If I find it and start it directly without using terminal, will I be able to do the right click trick?
Re: Program Icons
If you add it to the Menu - you can do the right-click trick outlined above.
To add to the Menu:
Right-click Menu > Edit Menu
Click a category under "Applications" column on the left, eg. Other, then on the right-side of the window, click "New Item"
The "Create Launcher" box opens
Type in Name
In Command field, you could try just typing in the command filezilla
OR
click Browse > click File System
then look for Filezilla, try:
usr > share > applications or usr > bin
When you find it - click it, click Open - it will insert a command in the field
Choose an icon - in the "Create Launcher" box, click the icon on the top left
Navigate to (for example) /usr/share/icons/Mint-X/apps/24
Click on filezilla.png, click open
Click ok
Close Menu editor
Open Menu > Other > right-click Filezilla > Add to panel
Or just create a panel launcher:
Right-click an existing panel icon, eg. Firefox
Click Add
"Add panel launcher" box opens
Type in name
In Application field, type the command filezilla (or as above, search for the command)
Click in Icon field, click the small folder to the right of this field, and navigate to an icon as above
click open
In Add panel launcher box, click Add
