I'm using Linux Mint 13 MATE.
If I run "sudo mintupdate" from the terminal it works fine, but if I run "mintupdate" I get an I/O error. This is also preventing me from installing .deb applications through Gdebi.
Can't open administrative tools (mintupdate, etc.)

Try:
Code: Select all
sudo apt-get install mintupdate
Samsung Odyssey, Octa-core, i5 9300H, Geforce GTX 1650, 16GB RAM, SSD SAMSUNG NVMe 500GB
LM 21 Cinnamon

It says I already have the newest version. I think there might be something wrong with my host file or permissions because mintupdate works fine when I use sudo.

Did you check md5sum of downloaded iso image, before burn it?

No error there. The program mintupdate needs root privileges.stephonos11 wrote:I'm using Linux Mint 13 MATE.
