MyUnity equivalent

Post by xfatherjack »

I loaded MyUnity to my fresh install of LinuxMint 13 Maya, when I tried to run MyUnity, it was not supported.
Is there an equivalent to MyUnity for Linux Mint?
I have just installed Linux Mint 14 KDE on another machine and it would be very useful if there was something like like MyUnity for that system (also).

NOTE: I just 'Drive' my machines, I have little-or-NO understanding of what is under the 'Bonnet'/'Hood',
i.e. the 'Mechanics' of the systems.

Any user-friendly suggestions appreciated.

MyUnity is for tweaking Unity. Unless you have specifically installed Unity then Mint does not use this desktop so there is nothing for it to tweak. There is no similar utility for Mint's desktops that I am aware of although there are numerous settings in the kde version, you just have to find them all. On Mint13 it depends which version you installed, if it was Cinnamon then there is Cinnamon Settings in the menu. This is not exactly a comprehensive set of tweaking tools, but it can do a bit.
