Post by bicky »

I have a Huawei E160 USB Modem. This is designated and works with Windows Xp. Anyone able to tell me how to set this up to work with Mint. When I connect the USB it asks for PIN When I enter this, the drive is recognised but remains disconnected.

Hi! Try this:
sudo apt-get purge modemmanager

Reboot and try again. If still no connection, revert the changes:
sudo apt-get install modemmanager

I'm not using it anymore, but I think the last versions of LinuxMing make it work out of the box.
