Hello everyone, just wanted to say I really enjoy linux mint 14, most definitely my favorite distro yet.
Although I'm having an issue with wining the application f.lux
(http://stereopsis.com/flux/)
The application runs fine, but there is a weird icon error in the panel
the icon is basically surrounded by a black square.

Things I have tried:
Using alacarte to edit the icon and to change the icons file
Uninstalling and Reinstalling f.lux.exe
Setup:
Intel HD graphics for desktop
GT540m for graphics intensive programs
i5 2430m 2.4ghz cpu
Linux Mint 14 64bit Cinnamon edition
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

Re: Black box around wine apps in panel
Have you tried changing the theme ?
Try change it to Gnome and see what happens then.
To change theme go to "menu->cinnamon settings->themes"

Re: Black box around wine apps in panel
Thanks for the suggestion.
I tried changing the theme and with a black theme it does make the black box unnoticable
but only because it is merged with the theme.
It is kind of a fix but I would much prefer to fix the visual error

Has anyone found a solution? I won't switch (back) to a dark theme for this, but it's really ugly in a light theme.
