Hi Forum:
I'm trying to copy bookmarks from Firefox to the Desktop. To be more precise, I want to move some bookmarks into folders on the Desktop. I've already created one such folder: "Software". Trying to copy bookmarks into this folder doesn't work, either.
Annoyingly, I keep getting this error message: "Error while copying. There was an error getting information about "name of bookmark.html". And clicking on "Show more details" then tells me, "The specified location is not mounted" .
Also, I copied several folders that contain IE favorites to the Mint Desktop and would like to be able to open these bookmarks (by clicking/double clicking on them). When I click on an IE bookmark, though, it keeps opening in Firefox endlessly. The only way to stop that is to close Firefox .
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Many thanks.
John

this may help or not but to create desktop url launchers you need to write this command in launcher:
If you want Firefox to open the URL, fill in the the Command box with:
firefox http://websiteurl.com
For Chromium
chromium-browser http://websiteurl.com
