I just starts using KDE and pretty much love it more than Cinnamon. Plus, there are some options that are in KDE but not in Cinnamon. Anyway, my problem is sometimes files (newly created) inside a folder is not visible but when i checked the folder description it is there. This only happens when in media (external harddisk) and also in both single and two panels mode. And I'll have to move location to home and back to media again just to make the files visible. Moving up to one folder path didn't help. Anyone ever encounter this ?

I assume you mean in Dolphin?
Try:-
view --> reload F5
Or simply hit F5
You can also add a Reload button to the toolbar:-
Settings --> Configure Toolbars...
Try:-
view --> reload F5

Thank you, 741cc. I didn't realize "reload" option is not enabled by default in dolphin.

This also what is annoying me. When a fileis placed into a folder which is open in Dolphin, it does not show up. You need to use F5 to reload the contents of the folder, which, if I may be honest, is a bit strange for a modern system.
