Linux Mint MATE resume from suspend shuts down system

Postby J.L. on Thu Feb 21, 2013 8:23 pm

Hello all. I'm a relatively new user to Linux Mint, but has previous Linux experience especially in Ubuntu.

My issue is that when I have the power button action set as suspend, resuming causes shutdown for some reason. This doesn't occur when I suspend from the mintMenu (resumes normally), but always happens after suspending from the power button.

I'm using Linux Mint 14 MATE on Acer Aspire One 532H. Installed with encrypted Home directory (which means encrypted swap) if that's worth mentioning.

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

Wow, no replies in the official forum. Anyways I fixed it by editing powerbtn in /etc/acpi/events to:
Code: Select all
event=button[ /]sleep
action=/etc/acpi/sleep.sh

Thanks to LinuxQuestions.org similar thread for helping me find the solution.
