Hey guys, my Sony Vaio's audio card went out on me and I just got it back from the shop good as new. The problem is: my sound doesn't work on linux anymore. I'm running Mint 11 and 'lshw' says I'm using the "6 Series Chipset Family High Definition Audio Controller" from Intel. Sony's website only has drivers for windows, so could y'all walk me through the installation step-by-step? (I'm kinda a end user )
Edit: P.S. Found this and downloaded the 2.6 Linux file under the assumption it's refering to the kernel. Is this the right driver? and if so how to I install it?

Re: Audio driver install
You shouldn't need to get any drivers for your sound. Try reinstalling. Also, why are you running Mint 11? Mint 13 is up to date, and a LTS release.
