Hi Guys,
I've had a bit of a disaster
I was following a tutorial to speed up boot times and have disabled the wrong thing. In terminal i had opened sudo bum to see what things ran on start up. I can't remember which one i disabled by mistake but the outcome is I can't log in. I just get a text based log in on screen. I type my user name and then my password and get a message about not being able to start the display. I have had to boot off livecd to get here to ask for help.
Is there some way to turn back the clock, or to be able to open the services section of my actual install while running livecd and re enable the things i disabled.
Really hoping someone can help,
thanks,
James

Re: Urgent Help Pleaseeeeeee
Once you log in in the terminal, you can either type startx to start your standard desktop, or type mdm to log in to your normal graphics log in screen.
