Hello,
I have the following problem using Skype at LinuxMint 14 KDE Desktop:
I starts working just fine but after some minutes my camera freezes. the rest of the program (for instance voice and the video that i am recieving) works fine. Turning on/off my video transmittion makes my camera work again but after some minutes freezes again.

Do you installed skype from repositories (synaptic), or downloaded from Skype site?

Delet it and try downloading directly from skype site.

The same situation. Tried with different desktops as well, the same problem. After some time my camera freezes.
