fstab nfs mount slow...

Post by Armann »

Hi, I have a question about nfs in fstab.
It works fine and maps it right away if I run sudo mount -a
This is a pain since my home folder is on the nfs. :)

So any ideas what the issue could be ?

NFS mounts are through the network and the network interfaces take a long time versus the time for a hard drive to spin up. NFS shares may need a delay. See http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1995076
