Change primary monitor? (Nvidia)

Hey all. Been searching and have found no solution to this. It's really just a minor issue that I live with but would be nice to fix.

Currently my display on the left is set to "right" in the nvidia settings, bugs me because I have to move my mouse to the right end of the screen to reach my left monitor.

If I change settings so that the display on the left is on the left side in the settings, that display will then turn into the primary one. Which means all icons and bars will end up on that one, which I don't want.

So basically I want to change the default display but there seems to be no solution for this, I understand it's probably Nvidias fault.

Is there a possibility I would have bigger success with another window manager?

It is possible that another DE could help, but have you tried switching the cables? Also, which drivers are you using?
