Unable to wake usb wireless adapter after suspend

Postby osteon on Wed Mar 06, 2013 11:19 am

Hello,

I am very much a newbie to linux. I am running Linux Mint 14 with Cinnamon 1.6. I have an Acer Aspire 5920. It has a wireless g network adapter installed. I purchased a D-Link DWA-182 Wireless N USB adapter to speed things up. I installed drivers for it using NDISWrapper. It works fine as soon as I plug it in. On waking the system from suspend, the D-Link adapter fails to wake up. It stays powered down and it does not show up in the Network applet on the panel after resuming from suspend. It works again if I physically unplug it from the USB socket and plug it back in. Is there a way to make sure it gets powered back up on waking up from suspend or prevent it from being powered down during suspend?
