Hello, Is there an easy way to restore the default file associations that come with Mint?
I have managed to set .deb files to open in Ark and I don't know what the default program was called that previously gave me a GUI installer.
What is the program I'm looking for called? And is there a simple way to restore all the defaults that mint has?
Thanks for any help! Sorry this is a very noobish question!

GDebi Package Installer - go to system settings, file associations, applications, and scroll down to x-deb and adjust the application preference order.Tz2001 wrote:What is the program I'm looking for called? And is there a simple way to restore all the defaults that mint has?
Creating a new user should restore all the default file type associations. Short of that, you'd need to figure out which hidden file controls file associations and rename it.
