Hello.
I'm trying to install a Brother MFC295CN onto Linux Mint 14 Cinnamon. I followed the instructions on the Brother website, but to no avail. I can see the status of my printer in my web browser. I can see a list of jobs that have been sent to it. But nothing prints, although the print queue will list print jobs as complete. Any suggestions about how I can correct this?
Thanks.

I guess if you tell us if you are using 23bit or 64bit;
if you copy and paste these commands
http://welcome.solutions.brother.com/bs ... tml#f00104
...... I wonder if the best thing would be for you to delete what is already installed;
and then download the Brother script; and run it and .......it should work.....................

if the Brother instructions look too complicated, go here to post #5

Mambo detailed what he did in a very clear layout: it should be easy to follow; and it worked

if you want to plod along with what you already have ..........
Ubuntu provide this debugging wiki

and as Mint comes from Ubuntu, it should all apply
if you copy and paste these commands
........Brother actually provide an install script;sudo dpkg -l | grep Brother

Re: Brother MFC295CN on Linux Mint 14 Cinnamon
This was helpful. I went back and re-did the preliminary steps that Brother prescribes. I'm printing now.
Thanks.
Thanks.
