Hi All,
My system is currently setup with 2 drives.
A SSD is sda
Second spinning drive is sdb.
I currently have Win 7 on sda and Mint on sdb1 with a large NTFS storage partition at sdb2
Can I install grub2 on sda and have it able to boot either win7 or mint? I know that I can install it on sdb and do it that way but I would rather sdb not be required to boot my machine.
*I can't currently boot my Mint install as sda is a new addition which overrode the boot setup when I installed win7

I think you'll be fine if you follow a guide to restore grub, but in grub setup tell it to install on sda but boot mint from sdb1.
Sorry I can't be more specific, on my mobile.
