nouveau not being removed by DDM Device Driver Manager

Postby galen on Tue Mar 12, 2013 4:36 pm

LMDE 201303 RC MATE 32bit.

I'm trying to get the nvidia 173 driver setup and to replace nouveau with DDM
Nouveau won't stand aside.
I've also checked grub2 and updated it in case of new kernel appends etc..

Does anyone have nvidia 173 running?

Code: Select all
lsmod |grep nouveau
nouveau               490603  2
mxm_wmi                12433  1 nouveau
video                  17412  1 nouveau
i2c_algo_bit           12713  1 nouveau
ttm                    42957  1 nouveau
drm_kms_helper         22699  1 nouveau
drm                   130103  3 drm_kms_helper,ttm,nouveau

ps Please move thread to correct sub forum. Sorry

Say no to Linux bloat, forced nouveau usage.
