Looking for copy paste app

I have on Winodws Clipx which allows me to hold on to multiple copy elements, then I can choose which I want to paste from. I can't seem to find an alterantive in Linux Mint. Thank you for helping

You have not mentioned your Desktop, if you happen to be a KDE user, Klipper has some amazing features.
The traditional expectation of a clipboard is that you can copy a section of text in order to paste it elsewhere. If you copy a section, the previous one is lost. Klipper solves this problem at a stroke. The item you copied last will still be the default one to be pasted, but others will have been stored in a buffer, so you can choose to paste your selections in a different order. Even the number of items stored in the buffer can be configured!
Also, if you are a heavy mouse user, middle-click copies and pastes text in a separate clipboard.

Hi not a KDE user but have tried to download glipper. But have no idea how to install a tar.gz file. Did try with the terminal but that failed misserably

I like Parcellite. It's in the repositories.

Thank you. I thought the one I had downloaded wasn't showing but after I rebooted it iis working fine. Thanks
