problem with volume control

Postby duck.duckson on Fri Mar 15, 2013 12:52 am

hey guys.

im using linux mit nadia (14) 64 bit, with cinnamon

Code: Select all
$ uname -a
Linux xxx 3.5.0-17-generic #28-Ubuntu SMP Tue Oct 9 19:31:23 UTC 2012 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

i had big problems with my audio. after working with audacity my mic worked strange on the whole system. it was very quiet and there was a strange noise in the background.

well, i fixed it by reinstalling the kernel (which reset alsa) and resetting the pulse configuration.

problem now is:
when im changing the volume via keyboard keys i have no sound for changing the volume (that *ding*)
when im changing the volume via the speaker icon in the panel i just have some crackling sound.

besides than that, my system works normal.

do you guys have any idea or a starting point where i could go for search to fix this?

thanks a lot!
