**URGENT** MAY HAVE RUINED MY SISTERS NEW COMPUTER!

I was trying to fix the suspend bug...I don't know what I did I restarted the computer and I got a message saying "failed to start the x server (your GUI) it is likely that it is not set up correctly. would you like to view the x server output to diagnose the problem?"

I click yes...

At this point I cannot do anything but acces the command promt....


Please Plase Help me! My mom is going to F-ing kill me if I can't fix this! Please!!!!!!

Oh...btw I was trying to bypass this entire thing by reinstalling the mint os...but my computer won't recognize the boot disc and I wasn't able to acces BIOS...or maybe i'm just doing something wrong....

What did you to that suspend bug? Did you make any changes in xorg.conf perhaps?

If so, you can open a console with Ctrl-alt-F1 after accepting the x failed to load message, login (password will not be visible when typing) and then run sudo nano /etc/X11/xorg.conf, to revert your changes to this file. Save is Ctrl-O in nano, and exit is Ctrl-X.
