I can't find my windows7 after installing linuxmint14

Post by irfanhrt »

hi,
i installed Linux mint 14 just two days ago. I used a method of dual booting. But after installing Linux mint 14 i cant find the option to chose between windows and Linux mint, while booting. It is directly going to the linux mint. Now lot of my emergency files are in windows and i have to do with it. i choose Linux Mint because of its ethics of open source. But now I am in trouble. Actually i have one more problem. That i cant get connected in to Internet in this. I set proxy, my connection is clear. so please help me.

Open the terminal and run

Code: Select all

sudo update-grub
then reboot.

If the grub menu is not showing at boot up hold down the Shift key to make it appear.

All your windows files should be accessible from Linux although your windows applications obviously won't be.
