Post by sdim »

Dear friends,
Maybe an application like Auto Gordian Knot for converting video files to any format,could be included by default in the Mint distro.

Thanks for reading.

sdim,

I saw no offer for the source code on the web site and no information on the license it is released under. That usually means it isn't released under an open source license; therefore it could never be a part of Mint.

You are kidding... Right?

PS: There are number of tools for converting multimedia formats for Linux. Try Googling a bit.

If you need to convert between differen formats, give ConvertIT a try. It supports all formats I think.
ConvertIT is a new mencoder \ffmpeg\ ffmpeg2theora oggenc….GUI interface
Oh, and Auto Gordian Knot is a Windows program, is it not?

Hi smin!

Take a look at:
*dvd::rip
*AcidRip
*OGMRip
*DVD Rip-O-Matic

Kind of equivalent to G.Knot.

Yours K.
